Hello, members!
A committee has formed with the goal in mind to facilitate the sharing of resources among those who wish to do so. Our first step is to do a needs assessment. We want to get your perspective, preferences, and level of familiarity with existing tools. Would you be willing to take two minutes out of your day to answer seven questions? This will help us greatly in determining our next step. Each year, TESL Ontario acknowledges the efforts of its Affiliates' work within their communities by declaring an ESL Week. In recognition of the work preformed by TESL Ontario members and ESL Instructors, the City of Windsor has proclaimed the week of November 8th to November 14th 2015, as ESL Week in the City of Windsor. The proclamation is as follows.
Our next fall workshop will be held on Saturday October 24th, 2015. TESL Windsor is excited to welcome Jennifer Alexander to deliver her innovative workshop on Mindfulness in the ESL Classroom. Details to follow on the website and an invitation will be sent out via email to subscribers. If you have not yet subscribed to our mailing list, please fill out this form.
Need to find a carpool to the fall conference? Want to buy, sell, or trade that used text book? Wish TESL Windsor had a suggestion box? Want to tell others of a job opening at your centre? Well, you're in luck! Recently a TESL Windsor member was asking around to see who is planning to go to the TESL Ontario conference this fall in Toronto. This prompted us think about how great it would be to have a forum or bulletin board space right here on this web site where members can communicate with one another. Check it out today by clicking the FORUM tab in the top menu. You can participate in an existing thread or start a new conversation under any of the default areas. If your question or comment does not fit under any of these, there is an off-topic section, as well. Enjoy! Let's celebrate your dedication, enthusiasm & compassion
