In 2014, the rules surrounding election to and service on TESL Ontario affiliate boards changed, as follows. All newly elected Executive positions: Members-at-Large will serve for a 3 year term. Elections are held in the spring, and the new slate of Executive members is presented at the TESL Windsor Affiliate Chapter Annual General Meeting. The Executive offices of Chair, Affiliate Representative, and Treasurer, as well as positions of Webmaster, Secretary, Public Relations and various committee chair positions, are all elected from within the Executive on an annual basis for a 1-year term at the first Executive meeting after the AGM. Do you think you might be interested in serving on the board as a member at large? With the Annual General Meeting fast approaching, now is the perfect time to contact TESL Windsor president Christine Stanley to let her know of your interest. As a member at large, you will have a chance to attend meetings, help plan workshops to the degree that you are comfortable, participate in the democratic process, and bring your energy and ideas to the table.
There are currently two openings for members at large. We would love to see all corners of our service area represented on the board.
