It has been six years since our profession lost an incredible supporter and passionate teacher, Barbara Simpson. Each year, in honour of her memory, those who knew her and some who did not have that privilege come together for a walk in beautiful surroundings. This year we will meet at 10:30 at Ojibway Park on Saturday, June 15th. Please consider joining us. It is always a lovely time. Bring suitable attire and footwear for the weather and condition of unpaved footpaths.
For those who wish to linger and socialize over a picnic lunch, Ojibway has outdoor tables.

Does it seem like it just takes too long between TESL PD or workshop events? And when it’s finally time for our bi-annual workshops, does it just seem to drag at times? If the answer is YES to either one, your TESL Windsor Executive would like to propose a rejuvenating remedy for these workshop woes. We would like to invite you to join us for activities in and around town that will enhance collegiality and networking among members of our local Affiliate. These social ventures will also promote multiculturalism, while discovering different venues and services within Windsor-Essex County. For instance, we can facilitate Windsor Language Exchange at Craft Heads Brewery for one evening, we can attend a chocolate-making and tasting workshop at Sweetness, or we can jump in on the Eid or Chinese New Year festivities in one of the restaurants that offer dinner for such special celebrations. There’s a myriad of activities we can partake in! Together we can explore them and have a great time in doing so! For starters, we have come up with a few potential names for this concept. We need your help in picking the one you like most. Please let us know by taking the poll. We’ll announce the name that ends up being the favourite, along with our first venture. The names are in the survey below. If you come up with another name, or have something else in mind, please don’t hesitate to jump into the fray along with your ideas. Your input is much appreciated! We look forward to hearing from you… and spending some time with you! Yours Truly, Your TESL Windsor Executive Your TESL Windsor Executive Board wants to know if there is enough interest in IELTS test preparation to warrant hosting a free workshop for teachers. Please complete this survey so we can gauge the level of interest.
